GTA VI’s official launch gallery shows new views of Vice City and Leonida
Rockstar has published fresh views of Vice City and Leonida ahead of the November 19 launch. Browse the official images and see what is confirmed, without treating every background detail as a new feature.

Rockstar has published the official Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Gallery ahead of the scheduled 19 November release. The collection, announced on 5 November 2026, offers new views of Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. Its value is straightforward: clear, official images to study without relying on compressed reposts, misleading captions or unconfirmed gameplay claims. Start with Rockstar’s original gallery.
What Rockstar announced on 5 November
The Newswire announcement explicitly describes a new collection of screenshots showing Vice City and beyond. It is a promotional image release, not a new PC-platform announcement or a hands-on performance breakdown. The separate official Media & Artwork library hosts other material provided by Rockstar.
The images add context to the atmosphere, environments, lighting and visual identity Rockstar wants to show before launch. But a still image does not measure frame rate, console resolution, loading times or how many buildings can be entered. Those require either a specific publisher statement or verifiable gameplay evidence.
Reading screenshots without turning details into rumours
Rockstar’s official game description places Jason and Lucia in a story set across Vice City and Leonida. That establishes the location and the central characters. A screenshot of a vehicle, shopfront, crowd or interior does not independently prove that the item can be driven, entered, interacted with or visited in the final release.
It is reasonable to discuss the images’ composition or compare their look with earlier promotional art. It is not reasonable to present every background object as a confirmed mission, new game mechanic or explorable building. Keep visual observations separate from feature announcements. Anyone wanting to inspect small details should compare the original gallery files rather than screenshots re-encoded repeatedly by social networks.
Launch date and confirmed platforms
Rockstar currently advertises 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on its official GTA VI page. That date refers to those announced console versions. An unconfirmed PC release date, retailer placeholder or fan countdown should not be presented as an official additional platform launch.
Australian buyers should check the platform storefront attached to their account for the precise local unlock time, price, edition and entitlements. A promotional gallery does not establish when every region’s servers, downloads or editions become playable.
Pre-load on 10 November: the times are different
The Rockstar pre-load FAQ, last updated on 3 November, lists the following official schedules:
- PlayStation 5: digital pre-load begins at midnight local time on 10 November, according to the relevant PlayStation account time zone.
- Xbox Series X|S: digital pre-load begins globally at 00:00 GMT on 10 November—equivalent to 10 am AEST on 10 November in Queensland.
Rockstar advises that the pre-load may require up to 212 GB of available storage depending on the device. That is a capacity warning, not a claim that every installed version will occupy exactly 212 GB or that another update cannot be required later. Verify the size your console actually presents before deleting other games.
If automatic downloads are enabled, PlayStation can use Rest Mode and Xbox can use the appropriate Sleep/power settings as described in the official FAQ. Confirm your console is configured correctly before relying on an overnight pre-load.
Physical copies contain a code, not a disc
Rockstar’s platforms and editions support page says the physical version contains a digital download code rather than a game disc. The physical Standard Edition is expected to become available for shipping and collection from 12 November so buyers can redeem a code ahead of launch.
That distinction matters for collectors, gift purchases and anyone trying to avoid an unexpected download. A boxed copy does not remove the need for sufficient console storage and internet access. For PlayStation, Rockstar specifies regional code rules and lists Australia and New Zealand as the Oceania grouping; an overseas code may not match an Australian account. Rockstar’s support material describes Xbox codes differently. Always check the specific product and account region before buying.
Checklist before pre-ordering or clearing storage
- Confirm your platform is one of the announced launch platforms and your purchase is tied to the correct store account.
- Compare the exact Standard/Ultimate edition contents and final Australian checkout price rather than a headline figure from another region.
- Check whether the advertised physical edition is a download code instead of a disc; do not assume retail packaging provides offline installation.
- Budget storage around Rockstar’s up to 212 GB pre-load warning and the capacity shown on your device.
- Use the original Launch Gallery for images and the GameOnCue launch facts guide for edition/region questions, not unverified social posts.
What the gallery cannot answer
Rockstar’s images are legitimate promotional material, but they do not by themselves confirm technical performance, accessible interiors, exact mission structure or an additional PC release date. Those claims need separate verified reporting. The gallery makes the world easier to examine; it does not replace official platform, edition and support documentation.
