MW4 DMZ's November 2 patch changes your Hājin runs: UAV towers, Sedative Inhaler and Truce Flag
Infinity Ward cut and randomized UAV tower spawns by 40%, doubled Sedative Inhaler duration and shortened Truce Flag cooldown. Here's how to plan around the confirmed changes.

Hājin's UAV towers are no longer reliable fixed stops. Infinity Ward's 2 November 2026 patch changes the density and placement of UAV towers in Modern Warfare 4's DMZ, while making a stealth consumable and the Truce Flag more forgiving. These are official patch-note changes, not an in-game drop-rate test or a guaranteed spawn route.
What changed on November 2?
| System | Official change | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| UAV Towers | Spawns randomized and reduced by 40%; one per POI is no longer guaranteed and multiple towers cannot spawn in the same area | Scout the tower before committing to a marked route; a screenshot from one match cannot establish its next location. |
| Deadtown | Exception to the general tower rule because it is required for DMZ Order progression | Do not assume the Deadtown Order objective disappears under the new spawn rules. |
| Sedative Inhaler | Duration raised from 60 to 120 seconds | The longer window helps movement around towers, but does not mean every Operator-controlled detection method is defeated. |
| Truce Flag | Cooldown reduced from 180 to 60 seconds | Recheck your timing assumptions when planning disengagements or squad movement. |
A crucial exception to stealth protection
The developer explicitly says the Sedative Inhaler does not currently conceal you from UAV towers activated by enemy Operators using the UAV Upgrade trait. Infinity Ward says it plans to address this in a Season 1 update. A planned fix is not a shipped fix; until the developer confirms it is live, assume that interaction can still reveal you.
What Hājin map users should do differently
- Stop relying on static UAV tower markers. A tower may be absent from a familiar POI even if it appeared there previously. Treat any historical tower marker or screenshot as reference-only, not a live spawn.
- Carry a fallback route. Plan a quieter alternate direction if a tower, patrol or hostile squad compromises your preferred crossing.
- Do not treat a two-minute inhaler as invisibility. It offers more time against the relevant detection systems, subject to the enemy Operator UAV Upgrade exception.
- Check Deadtown separately. Its mission-order exception remains important for progression.
Our interactive Hājin tactical map is intended for regional navigation, named POIs and route planning. It is not a live feed of randomized towers, player locations, or extraction guarantees. Use the DMZ patch tracker for earlier economy, Possum, exfil and stability changes.
Other confirmed fixes in this update
The same 2 November patch addressed UAV Tower objective status after recapture or an Extended Duration trait, an issue capturing a SAM Site after another squad abandoned it, retired Active Duty Operators not saving, some Operator Bounty resets, and additional exploits. Global stability fixes also shipped. These fixes do not remove the underlying PvP risk of deployment.
