PlayStation Store Black Friday 2026: November 4 start, November 30 finish and what Australians should check
Sony confirms discounts of up to 75% on selected PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 content. The storefront may vary by region, and some offers change or finish earlier.

Sony has announced its PlayStation Store Black Friday 2026 promotion. The publisher says its digital sale begins on 4 November, with discounts of up to 75% on selected content. The sale includes PS5 and PS4 games, PS VR2 titles, expansions and DLC. That upper figure is the highest advertised discount, not a promise that every game — or every Australian listing — is 75% off.
When does the sale start and finish?
The official PlayStation Blog lists the promotion from 4 November through 30 November 2026, with a mid-sale refresh on 16 November. Sony gives different regional time references in PST, GMT and JST; an Australian shopper should use the time and currency shown in their own PlayStation Store rather than assuming a US countdown applies in Brisbane.
| Official schedule | What it means |
|---|---|
| 4 November | Promotion opens in the publisher's listed regional storefront windows. Check your own store for the local start. |
| 16 November | Sony plans a refresh of the discount selection. |
| 20 November | Some offers end earlier than the overall promotion. |
| 30 November | Main promotion end date as announced, subject to regional storefront conditions. |
How to check a deal in Australia
- Use an Australian PSN account. A US-dollar price from a social post is not a confirmed AUD listing.
- Open the precise edition. A base game, Deluxe Edition, season pass and upgrade can have different discounts, ownership rights and inclusions.
- Read the end time on that item. A selected title may leave the promotion on 20 November while other deals remain through 30 November.
- Compare what you own. If you already hold a base game, determine whether a discounted edition duplicates content or includes an upgrade worth buying.
- Wait for prices to become live. Sony's early announcement previews categories and the maximum discount, not the complete list of final Australian prices.
What not to assume
Do not treat retailer gift cards, PlayStation Plus eligibility or third-party price trackers as official evidence of a specific digital discount. Offers are tied to the region and account/store listing. A percentage without the original local price and edition can make a purchase sound better than it is.
For a useful comparison, record the AUD sale price, normal AUD price, edition and expiry time before buying. If you are comparing a disc to a digital purchase, include delivery, resale flexibility and whether your console has a disc drive. A sale is only useful if it is for a game or add-on you actually want.
