Nintendo's October Indie World puts Switch 2 discoveries front and centre
Witchbrook, Sword of the Sea, Spirit Crossing and more appear in Nintendo Australia's latest Indie World showcase.
Nintendo’s 29 October Indie World showcase highlights new independent games coming to Switch 2 and the original Switch. The roughly 15-minute presentation brings together release dates, game updates and fresh titles, with a dedicated Australian lineup on Nintendo's official site.
The releases to put on your calendar
Sword of the Sea is listed for 30 October 2026 on Switch 2. Spirit Crossing follows on 16 November, while Witchbrook is dated for 28 January 2027. Petal Runner is scheduled for 8 March 2027.
There are also listings for TANUKI: Pon’s Summer on 10 November and RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition on 11 November. Dates are from Nintendo Australia's Indie World hub and apply to the versions shown there.
Why Indie World is worth a look
With big releases dominating the calendar, these presentations are a good way to discover something different: smaller-scale adventures, distinctive art styles and ideas outside the usual blockbuster formula. Nintendo's hub makes it easy to watch the showcase and follow individual games for further details.
For more Switch 2 coverage, the October release guide covers the month's larger launches, while the Minecraft overview explains the new console edition.
