Phantom Blade Zero’s boss weapons change more than the next fight
Weapon swaps restore Sha-Chi, boss rewards become your tools, and Phantom Edges open new routes through the Wulin.

Phantom Blade Zero makes the enemy’s equipment part of your next decision. PlayStation Blog’s new feature connects boss rewards with combat resources and routes through the Wulin.
Weapon swaps are part of defence
Phil Hornshaw’s feature describes Sha-Chi as a resource depleted by blocking. Switching between your two equipped main weapons replenishes it. A swap therefore changes more than your moveset: it can help you stay in the fight.
Learn a weapon from the other side
Hornshaw says most weapons come from defeated bosses. You meet their capabilities as a threat before gaining those tools yourself. Sony’s separate game page advertises more than 30 primary weapons and 20 Phantom Edges.
Keep an eye on the way back
The Blog describes Phantom Edges that clear barriers or reach distant places. Blue Memory Flowers connect exploration with backstory and health upgrades. That makes revisiting a blocked route a different proposition from simply searching for another chest.
Read before you start?
The original feature names bosses and discusses their stories. If you prefer to discover those encounters yourself, save it for later; the mechanics overview above avoids those named story reveals.
PlayStation’s announcement gives 29 October for PS5. The linked US game page provides the advertised feature list, but its dollar amounts and store date do not establish an Australian price or local unlock time.
