Valhalla’s New Game+ arrives November 5; Ubisoft separates updates from future plans
Valhalla and Black Flag Resynced have concrete updates. Hexe, Invictus and the Netflix series remain a different kind of announcement.

Ubisoft’s October 29 franchise update contains something immediately useful for returning players: a date for Valhalla’s New Game+. It also contains longer-term plans. Those should not be read as one shared launch schedule.
Valhalla: a date, with finer details still to come
Ubisoft schedules NG+ for November 5 after reporting 40 million players. It promises carried-over progression and dedicated scaling, an optional Power system drawing on gear, runes and masteries, a stash, rewards, Mithril upgrades and Divine quality for all gear. Full patch notes are still to come.
Before deleting a completed save or planning a fresh run around one particular item, wait for those notes. “Carried-over progression” is not a sufficiently detailed checklist to assume every quest flag or reward behaves identically.
Black Flag Resynced: major content and maintenance differ
Its final major update is already available, with NG+, Nightmare Mode and additional rewards and customisation. Ubisoft still plans quality-of-life updates. “Final major update” therefore does not mean an announced end to all fixes.
Hexe, Invictus and remakes
Hexe’s next major communication is planned for 2027. Invictus remains a multiplayer project in development. Ubisoft says no other Assassin’s Creed remake is actively in development; that is a statement about current work, not a permanent ban on revisiting older games.
The series and the anniversary
The Netflix production is nearing completion, without an announced release date. The franchise turns 20 in 2027, with celebrations planned.
The practical reading order is simple: patch notes for a game you can play, then development updates for projects you cannot yet evaluate. Our guide to checking game rumours explains why a plausible remake wish list still needs evidence of its own.
