Fallout 76 World Pets: what console players can test, and what is coming later

Fallout 76’s console Public Test Server now includes World Pets. That is an opportunity to try development content, not confirmation that its features and temporary rewards have reached the ordinary live game.

Three dates to keep separate

Bethesda’s October 29 post says the Xbox Series and PS5 PTS is available now, World Pets is planned for December 1, and Hideouts target Spring 2027. “Spring” is Bethesda’s seasonal wording, not an Australian September release window.

The PTS uses a separate installation. Follow Bethesda’s current access instructions rather than assuming that buying the live game automatically puts the test build in your library.

World Pets and Skyline Valley

Existing C.A.M.P. pets can accompany players, with stay, follow, attack and protect commands. Test accounts receive sample pets; those grants do not establish release ownership. Raids, Shelters and underwater travel have restrictions. Skyline Valley also receives an environmental refresh and bounty hunting.

Hideouts are early testing

Four difficulty levels are being tested, but rewards are temporary and the Drifter is absent in this testing period. Bethesda lists unfinished art and several known issues. This is not a final loot-farming guide.

If you join to provide feedback, focus on the difficulty and problems the test actually asks players to evaluate. Do not build a purchase decision around a temporary reward table or assume an issue listed for the test describes the final release.

Fallout Day’s separate announcements

The October 23 roundup also announced Fallout 4 Creations, future Fallout Shelter content and the competition series Fallout Shelter: The Experiment, scheduled for January 13, 2027 on Prime Video. These are separate products and timelines.
