Espeon ex or Umbreon ex? What Pokémon's new 30th Celebration decks actually include

Two all-foil 60-card decks landed on 30 October. Compare the promos, what comes in the box and whether this is the right product for you.

Two ready-to-play decks, two different exclusive promos. Pokémon’s 30th Celebration Battle Decks for Espeon ex and Umbreon ex launched on 30 October 2026. Both are 60-card, all-foil decks. They are designed to be opened and played, not confused with booster products chasing random secret rares.

Pick your deck without guesswork

ProductExclusive promoWhat you're buying
Espeon ex Battle DeckVictini, illustration rare-style promoOne fixed 60-card foil deck and accessories
Umbreon ex Battle DeckZeraora, illustration rare-style promoOne fixed 60-card foil deck and accessories

These are illustration rare-style promo cards. That description does not make them random booster pulls, establish market rarity or guarantee resale value.

Everything officially confirmed inside

  • 60 foil cards in a preconstructed playable deck
  • One deck box to store your deck
  • One playmat for setting up a match
  • One coin for coin-flip mechanics
  • One exclusive illustration rare-style promo associated with the chosen deck

Pokémon's published contents do not list extra booster packs. If you specifically want the surprise of opening packs, a Battle Deck is the wrong comparison; see our packs versus singles guide instead.

For a new player: what to do in your first game

  1. Choose the Pokémon you actually want to play. Neither deck is automatically the “better investment.”
  2. Read the included card text before changing anything; understand the deck’s Energy and Trainer plan.
  3. Use your playmat to learn the Active, Bench and Prize zones before worrying about competitive upgrades.
  4. If you intend to join a sanctioned Standard tournament, check current card regulation marks and event legality first — a fixed retail deck is not a blanket tournament-eligibility guarantee.

For collectors: what to check before buying

Compare the exact product name and promo against the official gallery. A listing for Espeon ex should not be treated as an Umbreon ex promo listing. Check sealed condition, language, local stock and the delivered price in Australian dollars. Both decks may be fun to own, but paying a big premium based on speculative future value is a different decision entirely.

Which should you get?

Want to learn the game? Pick the deck with your favourite Pokémon and get playing. Want a specific promo? Choose the matching deck, or compare the promo as a single after sold listings establish a real market. Want Mega Rayquaza or Delta Reign random pulls? These decks are not Delta Reign booster displays: read the 6 November product guide first.

Australian distribution and shop prices can differ from the US launch listing. Product contents and date above are sourced to The Pokémon Company; local availability is not claimed.
